Gschwandtkopf above Seefeld
Our hike begins in Seefeld and first leads past the idyllic Wildmoossee. Through open forests, we approach Gschwandtkopf from the east to enjoy impressive views from the summit and Speichersee. We descend westward with continuous panoramic views from Wettersteingebirge to Inntal. An almost level path across meadows and fields returns us to our starting point and completes the circular hike.

Tour description
Our meeting point at 9:45 is the well-known Seekapelle in Seefeld. From here, our circular hike leads over Klosterhügel to photogenic Wildmoossee. We follow its shore, partly on wooden boardwalks, through an impressive landscape of lakes and moorland. The route initially remains fairly level as far as Auland, where the ascent to Gschwandtkopf begins. On good trails through open forests, we soon reach the summit of Gschwandtkopf. At the summit and at Speichersee just below, we enjoy expansive panoramic views of the Tyrolean mountains in every direction. The descent follows a former ski slope, with Wettersteingebirge on one side and Inntal on the other. To complete our circular tour, we hike through forests and meadows back toward Seefeld and finally return to Seekapelle.
