Snowshoe hike to Brunschkopf near Seefeld

We meet at 09:45 at the well-known Seekapelle in Seefeld. From here, we quickly leave the village and enter extensive, ancient woodland. A comfortable winter hiking trail takes us to our first highlight, the wintry Wildmoossee. Depending on conditions, we put on our snowshoes here and begin the climb to Brunschkopf. A good trail winds through snowy forest to the summit, its viewing platform and an unbeatable panorama. After enjoying the views, we continue with little change in elevation to Möserer Höhe and the “Zugspitzblick”, where new perspectives open across the Wetterstein mountains. One final lake completes the route: the famous Möserer See, particularly peaceful in winter between snow-covered forests. We circle this romantic woodland lake before returning to Seefeld, partly through forest and partly across open fields, following well-prepared winter trails back to the Seekapelle.
