Through the picturesque Mühlauer Klamm, accompanied by rushing water and striking rock formations, we quickly gain elevation. After leaving the gorge, we continue up to Arzler Alm, one of the most popular destinations around Innsbruck. From there, beautiful trails lead us to Hungerburg, where the tour ends.

Tour description

Our meeting point between Congress and Hofgarten is located in the historic heart of Innsbruck. At 9:45, we begin our hike and quickly leave the lively city centre behind. We follow the Inn to Hans-Psenner-Steg. We cross the Inn on this bridge and climb toward Alpenzoo. Above Innsbruck, the trail leads to the district of Mühlau, where we enter the gorge. Following the rushing mountain stream past countless small waterfalls and unusual rock formations, we steadily gain elevation. After leaving the gorge, the trails widen and we continue to the idyllic Arzler Alm. Here we reach the highest point; after a break, we begin our return to the city. Descending gently, we hike through the forests above Hungerburg until we reach our finish at Nordkettenbahn.
